Privacy Notice
This notice explains how KinPlate handles information during the Private Beta in Canada and Brazil. The Beta is used to validate the core product journey, safety, and reliability.
Information we collect
- Account data such as email and authentication information.
- Profile data you provide, including name, username, language, measurement system, birthday month and day, and cooking preferences.
- Content you create or submit, such as recipes, images, plans, shopping lists, cooking records, leftovers, ratings, and feedback.
- Technical data needed for security and operation, such as app version, route, browser details, error logs, and request identifiers.
- Optional, minimized product-usage events. These do not include private recipe text, personal notes, shopping content, or feedback messages.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve KinPlate.
- Process recipes and images when you request AI features.
- Maintain your history, preferences, reminders, and Community content.
- Investigate failures, abuse, security issues, and Beta feedback.
- Measure the core Beta journey when you have not opted out of optional analytics.
AI and service providers
- When you use an AI feature, content needed to fulfill the request may be processed by AI and infrastructure providers working for KinPlate.
- KinPlate does not sell personal information and does not use private content for targeted advertising.
- Providers may process data in other countries, subject to applicable contractual and technical safeguards.
Private and public content
- Recipes remain private until you choose to publish them. Content published to the Community may be viewed by other users.
- Temporary recipe-capture sources are scheduled for removal after the recipe is completed. Personal cover sources are removed after the final asset is generated.
- Do not include unnecessary personal information in recipes, photos, notes, or feedback.
Your choices
- You can edit profile data and preferences in the app.
- You can opt out of optional analytics in Profile & Settings without losing Beta features.
- You can request account deletion. KinPlate provides a 30-day recovery period before the final process.
- During the Beta, privacy requests can be submitted through the in-app Feedback feature.
Retention and security
- We retain data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Beta, protect the service, and meet applicable obligations.
- After a deletion request, private data is scheduled for removal; public contributions may be deidentified or retained when necessary for security, Community integrity, or legal obligations.
- We use access controls, row-level security, authentication, and monitoring. No system is completely risk-free.
Updates
- This notice may change during the Beta. Material changes will be communicated in the product and the effective date will be updated.
