Beta Terms
By creating an account or using KinPlate, you agree to these terms. The Beta is a developing service and may change while we validate safety, reliability, and usefulness.
Beta access
- Access is personal, invitation-only, and may not be sold or transferred.
- You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and notify us through Feedback if you suspect unauthorized use.
- KinPlate may limit or end access to protect users, the service, or the Community.
Responsible use
- Do not use KinPlate for illegal activity, fraud, harassment, spam, copyright infringement, unauthorized access, or interference with the service.
- Do not submit content you lack the right to use. When identifying a source or creator, preserve accurate attribution.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, Beta limits, or security measures.
Your content
- You retain your rights in content you create.
- You grant KinPlate the limited licence needed to store, process, display, and provide your content according to your choices in the app.
- If you publish content to the Community, you permit KinPlate to make it available to other users until removed, subject to technical copies, moderation, and applicable obligations.
AI and human review
- AI results can contain errors. You must review recipes, ingredients, measurements, temperatures, images, and other results before use or publication.
- KinPlate may flag uncertainty but cannot guarantee every issue will be detected.
- You must not treat AI output as professional advice.
Food, nutrition, and safety
- KinPlate does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice.
- Nutrition information may be source-provided or estimated and may be inaccurate. Allergen preferences are not a safety guarantee.
- You are responsible for checking allergens, storage, safe cooking, expiry, equipment, and whether a recipe meets your needs.
Beta availability
- The Beta is provided for testing and may experience interruptions, feature loss, changes, or errors.
- We will use reasonable efforts to protect legitimate Beta data, but you should keep copies of important content.
- Beta features, limits, and free access may change before commercial launch. Material changes will be communicated.
Termination and deletion
- You can request account deletion from Profile & Settings, with a 30-day recovery period.
- We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or create material risk. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and available options.
- Public content may be deidentified or retained when necessary for security, Community integrity, or legal obligations.
Warranties and liability
- To the extent permitted by law, the Beta is provided as-is and as-available without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- KinPlate is not responsible for food, health, shopping, or cooking decisions made without appropriate user verification.
- Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law and changes
- These terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal laws of Canada, without removing mandatory rights available where you live.
- We may update these terms during the Beta. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after the stated date means acceptance of the updated terms.
